The Toxicology Team Leader is responsible to effectively and efficiently lead the laboratory function of the Toxicology department to ensure delivery of a high-quality product.
The role is offered on a full time, permanent basis.
Key responsibilities: Oversee laboratory operations for the toxicology department including, but not limited to, Clinical Pathology, Dose preparation, sample storage and shipping and sample analysis.Maintain efficient and high-quality processes within the Toxicology laboratory.Ensure equipment and laboratory maintenance is completed as per established procedures.Ensure compliance with established processes for test items, dose formulation and samples.Establish and monitor against key performance indicators.Maintain current licenses for chemicals, as appropriate.Coordinate laboratory-based activities to achieve Agilex and client goals.Lead a team of scientists working together to achieve Agilex and client goals.Responsible for CSV of assigned equipment.Preparation and review of standard operating procedures.Communicate with internal stakeholders (e.g., Study Directors) on project status and timelines.About you: A relevant degree in an appropriate science field (preferably biomedical sciences or pharmaceutical sciences, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education and/or training).Minimum of 3 years working in a regulated laboratory or animal facility.Experience in aseptic technique and cell biology activities.Excellent laboratory skills.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and with dynamic priorities.Demonstrated initiative, trust and reliability and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Proven ability to set priorities, analyse problems, formulate clear and effective solutions and coordinate a number of tasks simultaneously.Proven ability to maintain strict adherence to client confidentiality issues.Intermediate Word and Excel experience.Experience in mentoring and training highly desirable.How to apply: To join our team, please submit your CV along with a cover letter outlining your skills and experience.
