This position works to assist the Chief Legal Officer, as directed, in the areas of legal services with a focus upon commercial law, including contracts, tendering and procurement, and intellectual property. The role will also be required to provide advice on legislation relevant to Council, and general legal advice applicable to the operations of local government.
Our ideal applicant will have experience in local government, planning and development, property, and criminal law and ability to provide advice in these areas or ability to acquire these skills is desirable with the ability to undertake and complete special projects, keeping relevant stakeholders continuously informed of the progress.
