Position Overview
The IT Professional will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing our school's technology ecosystem. This role involves providing technical support, managing infrastructure, driving innovation, and ensuring that our technology tools empower both teaching and learning. The ideal candidate will have a passion for education, a collaborative spirit, and the technical acumen to keep our systems running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure Management: Oversee and maintain IT systems, including servers, networks, and software, ensuring they remain secure, reliable, and up-to-date. Technical Support: Provide responsive and empathetic support to students, faculty, and staff, swiftly resolving technology issues and offering guidance on best practices. AV Support: Assist with staff AV setup and support both in and out of the classroom. Hardware Maintenance: Conduct routine PC and device repairs, troubleshooting technical problems and coordinating vendor support as needed. Sysadmin Duties: Manage user accounts, monitor network security, implement backup and recovery procedures, and contribute to system administration tasks. Systems Innovation: Collaborate with leadership to enhance our School Management System (TASS), identifying opportunities for technological improvements and efficiencies. Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Expertise: Demonstrated experience with Active Directory, JAMF, or similar device management solutions, as well as familiarity with Unifi wireless access points and Juniper switching is ideal. Broad Skill Set: Working knowledge of basic PC repairs, audiovisual equipment, and routine sysadmin functions. Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical users and to interact effectively with stakeholders of all ages and technical backgrounds. Adaptability & Organization: Proven ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting, balance multiple responsibilities, and adapt to changing needs.
