Council is seeking a suitably qualified applicant to fill the permanent full-time role of Town Planner.
Reporting directly to the Manager Planning and Development, the Town Planner is responsible for assessing development applications and the provision of advice relating to zoning, development proposals, land use matters and heritage.This positionis required to participate in an efficient and responsive manner in the Development Application process, focusing on the needs of applicants, owners, the community and reflecting best practice in the provision and application of those services.
Job Description To experience success in this role, you will have tertiary qualification in Town Planning, Urban Studies or Urban and Regional Planning. You will have extensive knowledge in development assessment and relevant legislation, regulation and codes applicable to the development area and Local Government. You will provide sound advice and write complex reports for management or other stakeholders.
