Town Planner

Macroplan is seeking a motivated and organised Town Planner to join our Brisbane team. This is a full-time role with flexibility and remote work.
As one of our Town Planners, you will be preparing and lodging development applications, liaising with local and state government authorities, as well as other professional consultants such as surveyors, engineers, and designers.
Our projects are located extensively throughout QLD, NSW, and Victoria and vary in size and complexity, so you will enjoy a variety of projects.
Primary Duties Preparing, lodging, and managing development applications Providing statutory and strategic planning advice to clients Coordinating with project teams, including engineering and architectural professionals, clients, government officers, and other consultants Undertaking site analysis, identification of planning and approval provisions, development opportunities, and constraints Preparing fee proposals and providing town planning advice Liaising with clients, professional consultants, and Council assessment officers Minimum Requirements Town Planning tertiary qualification 3+ years' experience in the statutory planning field Knowledge of relevant legislation and planning instruments Proficient in reviewing developers' plans Fully knowledgeable in how to assess plans and how to create a successful planning strategy Ability to think strategically Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent organisational, planning, and time management skills Ability to use GIS preferred Remuneration Financial remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications, skills, and experience.
