About the roleWe are seeking an experienced Town Planner (Development Assessments) to join a dynamic and supportive team on a temporary basis. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing and processing development applications, providing expert regulatory advice, and ensuring exceptional customer service to stakeholders. You'll play a key role in shaping the community by balancing sustainable development with statutory compliance. This position requires a strong understanding of NSW Planning regulations, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage a diverse workload.
Duties Assess and process a range of development applications in accordance with statutory requirements and council policies.Provide accurate and timely advice to internal and external stakeholders on planning regulations and development matters.Prepare detailed reports and recommendations for planning proposals, ensuring compliance with NSW Planning regulations.Collaborate with other departments and agencies to facilitate effective development outcomes.About you Experienced in a Local Government, NSW Planning environment (essential)PIA recognised qualificationExperience in development assessment and statutory planningUnderstanding of NSW Planning regulationsStrong ability to communicate effectively both in writing and in personCoastal, rural and commercial planning experience (highly desirable)100% remote, WFH positionGreat work life balance - enjoy a 9 day fortnight scheduleFurther your expertise with a Local Government clientHow to applySound interesting?
