The Role Join our Parks and Natural Environment team as our Tree Compliance Officer to assist in the protection of our Urban Forest throughout the Town of Cambridge.
This unique opportunity focuses on promoting adherence to compliance requirements and programs, particularly those related to verge and tree protection. Where necessary, you'll also enforce these requirements to ensure our town's natural environment is preserved.

Selection Criteria Demonstrated ability to understand, interpret and apply relevant legislation including state and local laws, schemes and policies. Practical experience in compliance/enforcement in a regulatory environment. Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills to foster regulatory compliance in a collaborative manner with stakeholders. Sound analytical and decision-making skills. Sound time management and organisational skills. Sound written and verbal communication skills. Certificate IV in Local Government and/or a Certificate III in Arboriculture (desirable for Grade 4 and essential for Grade 5). Possession of a current "C" Class Driver's licence. Right to work in Australia (birth certificate, current passport, or current visa).
