The Senior Business Services Officer (Finance) role coordinates the delivery of Business Services functions, working closely with the Business Manager, Director ODDG, General Managers and project teams within Tourism to inform, develop and maintain operational systems and processes including the delivery of finance, human resources, audit, operational reporting, information and technology and assure the provision of high quality, timely executive advisory services.

As the Senior Business Services Officer (Finance), you will: Support the budget process for Tourism Division, including preparation for annual budget, Forward Estimates updates, and end of year financial processes. Develop and provide accurate, timely and reliable financial data and monitor financial data providing analysis and commentary for a range of reporting purposes including but not limited to, management performance reporting, monthly/quarterly reporting to senior management and ad-hoc requests providing support and advice in interpretation and analysis of financial information and processes. Manage and maintain financial controls ensuring accurate and timely recording of transactions. Provide advice and support to the division in relation to procurement, financial processing and management of professional contractors and labour hire in accordance with departmental procurement policy and procedures. Provide advice and support to the division in relation to operational human resource matters, asset management information technology and records management. Prepare audience-appropriate and fit-for-purpose documentation to convey information on business support matters to decision-makers as required. Effectively manage change, people, financial and physical resources, underpinned by a culture of client service, continuous improvement according to the Tourism Division Values, Queensland Government Public Service Values and the Reframing the Relationship Plan.
