About the Total Range Certification Team:
Total Range Certification is a trading name for Toowoomba Regional Council, which provides building approval and consultancy services to the construction industry. We offer Building Certification Services to the Toowoomba Region and also deliver private certification services for customers in neighbouring local government areas. Our work involves a variety of aspects including client consultation, lodging and assessing building applications, inspecting building work and issuing documentation for approvals of all class buildings. About the position:
The Cadet Building Surveyor will work under regular direction to complete the assessment of building applications as required, and to gain experience in review and investigations, building surveying, project management, construction and building design, and other activities associated with the provision of building surveying services.
The Assistant Building Surveyor will work under general direction to provide assistance and support to complete the assessment of building applications as required, and to gain experience in review and investigations, building surveying, project management, construction and building design, and other activities associated with the provision of building surveying services.
This is a temporary full-time position based in the heart of Toowoomba's CBD. The annual salary range for Cadet is $54,383.97 - $75,434.70 gross per annum, plus 17.5% annual leave loading and up to 12.65% superannuation. The annual salary range for Assistant is $70,069.71 - $87,970.19 gross per annum, plus 17.5% annual leave loading and up to 12.65% superannuation. Access to banked leave. Car parking provided. Qualification(s), training and/or experience, specific to the role:
Currently enrolled or demonstrated intent to enrol in and undertake studies towards an accreditation provided by a recognised tertiary institution and recognised by the Queensland Building and Construction Commission for licensing as a building certifier. The appointee must make ongoing progress towards completion to achieve, within three (3) years of appointment, accreditation as Assistant Building Surveyor or higher. WHS Competency (White Card) for CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry, or equivalent, or a willingness to obtain prior to commencement. Assistant Building Surveyor:
