Partnering with global brands to local dairy producers, we integrate supply chain efficiencies and sustainable practices into everything we design and manufacture.About the roleWorking with a great team at our new Altona North plastic manufacturing site, The Toolmaking Supervisor will be responsible for maintaining the fleet of tools / moulds and the preparation and manufacture of new tooling. This is achieved through managing the maintenance program, engagement with various tool suppliers as well as repairing of the tools / moulds and ensuring stocks of consumable spares.Supervising a small team, you will:Lead a team and contractors with regular participation in hazard identification and WHSE campaigns that actively drive a culture of behavioural safety.Ensure that a system is in place to determine the maintenance requirements and frequency of the tools and moulds.Co-ordinate all tool contractor support, services and maintenance activity inclusive of cost and quote establishment for new tools, induction completion, JSEA completion and other risk assessments.Lead discussion and implementation on tool engineering design improvements and process improvement.Working closely with the Plant Manager, Production Manager and Engineering Manager as well as external customers, you will thrive in this supervisory opportunity and have an opportunity to step up your mechanical experience. You might not have pneumatic and hydraulic systems experience but if you have familiarity with blow moulding tools and their design requirements and are hands on when it comes to machine maintenance then this is the role for you!Experience gained in an FMCG tool shop, welding skills and knowledge of quality control/ trouble shooting when it comes to tooling would be advantageous.Demonstrated hand skill when repairing tools as well as a mechanical trade qualification will see you shine in this newly created role.Additional InformationAbout usOur vision is to lead the circular economy through packaging, reuse and recycling solutions.
