Fleet Allocator – Gladstone Global Logistics provides sophisticated supply chain solutions, from end-to-end or part solutions, warehousing and distribution to dedicated transport solutions, across the globe and to some of the most remote corners of the world.
This position is to assist with managing the fleet of Toll Security Sensitive Transport's drivers and sub-contractor drivers, so that all freight (road; rail) is delivered on time and as per customer's requirements. With a strong focus on rail freight, this position has an exceptionally strong focus on safety. Transporting primarily dangerous goods, this key position based in Gladstone is required to ensure all outcomes are achieved on a daily basis; including fleet utilisation, customer relations and profitability are in line with Toll's business objectives.
A day in the life of a Fleet Allocator at Toll Group: Schedule and control all activities associated with the arrival, departure, loading and unloading of all rail related fleet. Assist with the day-to-day management of transport requests and provide support to ensure all deliveries and pickups are completed in line with the overall operational strategy and contractual agreement. Assist with the scheduling and control of the fleet, to achieve maximum safety, efficiency, and availability to meet schedule demands and company objectives in accordance with regulatory requirements. Assist in determining trip feasibility based on fleet, schedule, maintenance and drivers' availability and/or operational limitations. Create and maintain excellent customer relations, ensuring drivers and equipment is presented in a professional manner and customers are aware of freight movements and expected delivery times. Assess customer needs effectively and weigh alternative approaches or solutions ensuring the customer is put first. Ability to apply logic and experience to make timely, sound judgements. Excellent time management, planning and organisational skills. Ability to consider a broad range of internal and external factors when solving problems and making decisions. Microsoft office suite expertise including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint. High attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines within a time-pressured environment.
