We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to oversee and coordinate various aspects of our operations within the Gas sector. The Warehouse Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring delivery of supply chain, transport services, sub-contractors, suppliers and labour are effectively and efficiently managed to meet operational requirements.
The role will be directly responsible for coordinating all supply chain and transport to/from base and will also perform off-site supervision of logistics activities (as required) to ensure that equipment and supplies are correctly loaded and unloaded to safely facilitate material movement schedules.
Ensuring that all employees adhere to operational procedures whilst maintaining a positive safety culture is of critical importance to this role. The role will have overall responsibility for the handling, management, inspection and maintenance of the facility in general as well as Toll and 3rd Party equipment used to support logistics operations, maintaining accurate stock records, and upholding high standards of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) practices. This position requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage both people and processes effectively.
This is a role where leadership, customer excellence and operational efficiency all come together, and you will need to drive high standards whilst ensuring the site is being run safely and efficiently.
Primary Responsibilities and Decisions - Coordinate and oversee transport services for pick up and deliveries to and from the site, ensuring timely and efficient movement of materials. Demonstrate exemplary safety leadership behaviours and monitor and promote HSES & QA programs, to achieve a safe and incident free culture. Manage daily activities of Toll Supply Base Teams and ensure that all work and is performed safely and that an ongoing commitment to safety is maintained including proactive actions to identify and reduce workplace hazards. Maintain staff job results by coaching, counselling, and disciplining employees, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results. Uphold a safe working environment by consistently adhering to established safety protocols and fostering a culture of safety awareness. What you'll need to succeed – Supervisor/Management experience in transport, logistics or related industry. Exposure to Warehousing and familiarisation and experience with handling and transporting industrial equipment commonly used in Mining or Oil and Gas Environment. Work within an autonomous role and lead a safety obsessed focussed workplace. Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations and codes of practice. Proficient computer skills with good written and verbal communication skills.
