About The Company
This NSW Government agency is looking for a Tobacco and E-Cigarette Compliance Officer to come in for a 12 month contract. This position requires the candidate to work, 5 days per week, 8 hours per day and be willing to drive/travel around the state of NSW. There is also option to work 4 days per week at 10 hours per day if needed.

Drive operational excellence by conducting both covert and overt inspections, managing cases, and preparing meticulous documentation for enforcement actions, including prosecutions.

About You
Ability to manage challenging situations with members of the public, especially during the issuance of Penalty Notices.
Awareness of the diverse views and interests of stakeholders, navigating contentious issues with diplomacy and tact.
Experience in regulatory and compliance activities, including interpreting legislation.
Capability to balance work volume and quality effectively despite limited resources.
Proficient in resolving conflicts, managing difficult interactions, and de-escalating situations using well-developed interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to work flexibly across different environments and contexts.
Strong organizational skills honed in high-volume, demanding professional environments.
Proven capacity to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively within a team environment.
Skilled in engaging, collaborating, and negotiating with customers and stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.
Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships to deliver results with a customer-focused approach.
Willingness to travel throughout NSW, including overnight stays in regional or remote areas, with a current NSW driver's license.
