Title: Policy And Project Officer

Our client is responsible for developing and delivering educational services for children and young people in the territory.
The Role: Be part of a high-performing team within the Safe at School Taskforce. Reporting to the Senior Director, this role involves policy development, project coordination, and stakeholder engagement to promote a safety-first culture across the Directorate.

Key Responsibilities Develop and review policies and procedures in collaboration with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to align with legislation and safety standards. Implement programs supporting policy rollout and manage change within public schools. Prepare reports, briefs, and documents to support project delivery. Build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels, ensuring strong cooperation and collaboration. Contribute to the PMO both independently and as a team member. Skills and Experience Required Proven experience in developing public sector policies, programs, and procedures. Strong ability to interpret complex legislation and draft high-quality documentation, including reports and briefs. Project management skills, including the ability to manage competing deadlines and priorities. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills. High proficiency in ICT and collaboration tools (e.g., SharePoint/Teams). Sound judgement and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
