Job Description Role Opportunity: Senior/Principal Geotechnical Engineer with strong technical and commercial acumen to join a national civil and environmental engineering firm. This role will focus on delivering key resource and infrastructure projects as well as playing a key role in growing the Perth Geotechnical Engineering team.

Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or a related field) with over 10 years of professional experience. Registered Professional Engineer status or actively working toward achieving this qualification. Proven project experience in geotechnical design for civil, water management, and transport infrastructure projects, including dams, flood levees, drainage systems, roads, waterways, and general civil engineering works. Tailings project experience is an added advantage. Skilled in project and design management, including oversight of civil design outputs and deliverables. Demonstrated ability to lead small teams and a solid understanding of multidisciplinary collaboration. Strong skills in report writing, technical review, project management, and mentoring junior engineers and civil designers. Proficient in scoping, supervising, and interpreting geotechnical investigations. Experienced in preparing design reports, technical specifications, drawings, bills of quantities (BOQ), and cost estimates. Familiarity with GeoStudio modeling software and other stability and deformation modeling tools. Excellent client and stakeholder management skills. Duties & Responsibilities: Conduct and review technical work for water, civil, and transport infrastructure projects across diverse sectors, including private, resource industries, and government. Manage, deliver, and coordinate projects and proposals. Engage in client relationship management and business development activities. Prepare and review geotechnical investigation documents, including investigation briefs, factual reports, and interpretive geotechnical reports. Lead and oversee geotechnical field programs, working closely with engineers and drilling contractors. Develop and review design documentation, including design reports, technical specifications, drawings, bills of quantities (BOQs), and cost estimates. Participate in site visits and gain exposure to projects involving private sector, resource industries, and government stakeholders. Foster the well-being, professional development, and resource allocation for team members. Approve and support technical work within the discipline and oversee project management tasks. Their services include water management, civil design, and geotechnical design to environmental management and approvals. They undertake projects within the mining & resources, government, infrastructure, and private sectors.
