Timber Assistant

B&S Mitre 10 Alice Springs are currently seeking an outgoing and knowledgeable individual to join our team. The position is within our timber yard and comes with a wide range of tasks including but not limited to, working in the trade yard using various machines and tools, liaising with customers about our products, cutting timber to suit and deliveries.
The successful candidate will provide excellent customer service, must be motivated and switched on, and be relied upon.
What you will be doing Stock control ensuring all deliveries are accurate. Serving customers in the yard, helping them with their orders and providing them with fast, efficient service. Picking orders to be sent out on delivery trucks. Putting away stock, mainly timber and associated products. What you will bring Demonstrate a strong customer focus. Timber mouldings and sheet product knowledge is desirable but not required. Demonstrate ability to work in a team environment and unsupervised. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Prioritise workload to effectively meet deadlines. Must be physically fit and able to be on your feet all day. An eye for detail. The successful applicant will be given onsite training for the role. Some knowledge in hardware and timber is desirable but not a requirement.
