What's the Gig?
We're excited to offer a unique full-time opportunity for an experienced wildlife professional to work closely with our big cats - tigers on Tiger Island.
Your role will include: Training our tigers in a protected contact environment.
Performing essential husbandry tasks like feeding, preparing diets, and enriching animal habitats.
Maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of Tiger enclosures and the Island facilities.
Engaging with guests through educational presentations and interactions about tigers and global conservation efforts.
Supporting our Wildlife team with husbandry duties for our native animal collection.
What Do We Need from You?
To thrive in this role, you should have: A solid background in wildlife management, with industry experience working with native, exotic, or non-domestic animals.
Tertiary qualifications in zoological sciences are preferred.
Extensive animal husbandry experience.
A friendly, outgoing personality with excellent communication skills to engage with guests confidently.
A strong commitment to teamwork, safety, and animal welfare.
Good physical dexterity and the ability to perform demanding tasks safely.
Vaccination against Q-Fever.
A current driver's license.
A background in animal training and behavioral enrichment is a plus.
Flexibility in working hours is essential, as weekends will be part of your schedule.
