Primary Duties
Perform user account maintenance Apply Network Management Computer Software Configuration Item (CSCI) architecture overview Travel to and from other locations in country (Australia) to perform account maintenance and other scheduled maintenance as required.
Travel is expected approximately every 60 days.
Maintain current version of operational software, databases, password administration, firewalls, and anti-virus/anti-spam applications/software on all assigned computer command, control, and monitoring equipment Implement software and firmware patches, software upgrades, configuration changes, arrange for technical support for hardware repairs, and provide database for life cycle replacement Perform preventive maintenance on IT systems and related equipment Perform communication systems operational and diagnostic testing Set up and configure IT networks and maintain system documentation Assist with troubleshooting and administration of existing network systems; troubleshoot basic network problems Perform routine tests of assigned system and report on results; monitor the network and report system failures Maintain databases for communication systems information and network Internet Protocols (IPs) Support external entities Review, test, and apply Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) patches to all information systems Review and update security, software, user, and system profiles for all information systems Perform information system hardware and software maintenance Perform user and administrator account maintenance Initiate, update, track, and complete work orders for information systems Coordinate with external entities for troubleshooting, analysis, and repair of information systems Additional Duties
Ability to lift 35 pounds 3 feet vertically Able to carry 50 pounds 50 feet without resting Qualifications Qualifications/Education
Satisfy CSWF 8140.01 Code 451 (Intermediate) requirements Must complete CMS 301 PQS within 30 days of start, if not already qualified Experience/Skills Required
7 or more years of experience in network and information systems technology with experience in Windows, SQL, DB2, Solaris, and Linux Knowledge of OPNAVINST 5530.14C and NISPOM (DoD 5220.22-M) Additional Information Relocation reimbursement
