THE OPPORTUNITY
We're seeking aConstruction Manager to join our Loganholme office on a full-time, on-ongoingbasis . Reporting to the Building Manager, as aConstruction Manager your primary focus is to lead a team of Construction/Site Supervisors, ensuring the building quality, customer service and compliance is consistent with the Simonds brand, commitment to quality building, and values. Some key accountabilities of this role include:
Lead, coach and mentor a team of dedicated Construction Supervisors(usually 3 - 5) Monitor the build progress, ensuring that work quality and industry best practice techniques are of a high standard Compile and provide relevant data for weekly/monthly reports, including costs, quality and build times Ensure compliance with both government and Simonds OHS policies; ensuring that safety standards are always monitored and achieved in line with relevant processes and procedures Liaise with trades and suppliers to ensure strong working relationships Attend on-site and office-based meetings WHO YOU ARE
We're looking for someone who has:
Advanced understanding of residential building and construction Previous experience in a similar role/residential building (preferred) Certificate and/or Diploma of Building & Construction (preferred) A thorough understanding of Australian building regulations, WHSE regulations and Quality Assurance (QA) systems (mandatory) Have completed the General Construction Induction Course/White Card (mandatory) Hold a valid driver's licence (mandatory) Ability to lead, mentor and support a diverse team in order to achieve common goals Commitment to achieving the highest level of customer service Proven conflict resolution and negotiation skills Advanced computer literacy across the Microsoft Office Suite and other platforms Excellent verbal and written communication skills High attention to detail WHY JOIN US?
