About This Opportunity
This is an exciting Level C teaching-focused opportunity, where you'll take on a pivotal role as the coordinator for Year 2 of the MD program.
You'll be at the forefront of shaping and guiding the design of dynamic educational experiences, including innovative learning, teaching, and assessment activities.
As a key leader, you'll drive the Course Team meetings and co-chair the influential Year 12 Advisory Group, making a significant impact on the program's success and evolution.
Key responsibilities will include:
Teaching: Leadership and collaboration, serving as a key member of the AME, fostering effective collaboration across the Medical School and its partners.
Lead the design and development of the Year 1 of the UQMD.
Pedagogical Expertise: Coordinator curriculum implementation across multiple delivery sites to optimise student engagement and achievement of learning outcomes.
Curriculum Development and Quality Assurance: Develop assessment practices for Year 1 and contribute to the UQMD Program's overall assessment framework, with the support of the Assessment Lead.
Engagement and partnerships: Guide and support to program contributors to ensure the provision of high-quality learning experiences and assessment.
Scholarship of Learning and Teaching: Apply evidence informed research methodologies in curriculum design and development.
Contribute to the advancement of medical education knowledge and practice.
Teaching Impact / Researcher Development: Lead and manage the course team to ensure the development and delivery of the focus area activities.
Develop and deliver training to support the program's teachers and supervisors with support from the AME leadership team.
Citizenship and Service: Consistently demonstrate behaviours that align to the UQ values.

About You
A medicine or healthcare professional degree, OR a PhD in a relevant discipline area.
A demonstrated understanding of contemporary educational practice in medical education.
Curriculum expertise and ability to coordinate and support the program design and development.
A demonstrated reflective and evidence informed approach to teaching and learning.
Demonstrated ability to engage in the scholarship of teaching and learning and quality enhancement activities.
Ability to establish effective relationships, work collaboratively with colleagues and to represent and promote the interests of the school to other academic units, government and professional bodies.
A growing record of meaningful internal service roles in conjunction with contribution to external activities.
This position may attract additional salary loadings (clinical and/or state) within this role, based on the successful candidate's qualifications and registrations and subject to approval.
