Tideri Jobbörse | Perks People Solutions | Group Ohs&Q Manager

Details of the offer

Our Client
Perks People Solutions have partnered with Integrated Waste Services – South Australia's leaders in sustainable resource management. Their commitment to environmental responsibility ensures that they provide innovative solutions tailored to the needs of their clients. Their head office is based in Wingfield; however, they also have sites at Dublin, Seaford and Newton, plus a presence in NSW and WA. An opportunity now exists for a Group OHS&Q Manager to manage the safety function on behalf of the national group.
The Role
You'll be responsible for providing HSE leadership, strategic direction, support and governance across a period of growth. You'll work with all stakeholders to enable optimal HSEQ outcomes across the business in identifying and managing material risks, quality processes, governance execution and driving ISO accreditations. Duties will include:
Help the leadership team embrace key safety leadership through coaching and advising the team and project leaders on how to exercise OHS due diligence and strengthen safety culture. Provide the leadership team with timely and accurate HSE insights to raise awareness, support decisions and drive strategic objectives. Bring executive presence to the role, formulating coherent and data-driven arguments for why Major Hazards must be controlled and governed across the portfolio of projects and business mergers. Develop, consult and deliver Development HSE strategic objectives and plans aligned with Group HSE Strategy ethos and deliverables. Play a pivotal role in the design and customisation of Group HSE processes and requirements to ensure they are suitable for the organization. Work with Project leaders and the OHS team to ensure oversight and assurance are set up and actioned consistently across projects with an enhanced risk profile. Drive the integration and streamlining of HSEQ systems and processes while considering stakeholder needs, capabilities and current status within the maturity model. Pioneer the recruitment strategy to hire an effective OHS&Q department, whilst managing and improving the current team. Be prepared to "roll up their sleeves" and, should a situation demand it, "muck in", spending the necessary amount of time on-site to deal with, fix or respond to HSEQ issues. Oversee material safety incident investigations and report the findings/learnings back to the leadership team – holding them and others accountable to deliver on these actions/learnings. Create an enhanced way of working between the project teams, workers and senior leadership to align strategies and form a winning OHS&Q culture. Embrace innovation and ways which enhance the waste industry to become best in class. Lead a team of HSE professionals to achieve HSE outcomes across the business(s). About You
To be successful in this role, you will need:
Significant experience in HSE and/or Operational leadership roles with a proven track record of exceptional management, leadership, and development of high-performance and outcomes-oriented teams. Experience working across states in Australia – managing different legislations and governance. Demonstrated ability to prepare and execute strategic plans and strong commercial/business acumen with experience preparing detailed/complex budgets, analyses, and comprehensive reports. Proven track record of achieving results through influencing and relationship skills. Experience in achieving HSE & Quality ISO accreditations. Ability to work within an agile environment with complex reporting lines and exceptional communication (written & verbal) and interpersonal skills. In Return
You will receive:
A significant leadership role where you can influence and work strategically to achieve outstanding safety outcomes.
