Reporting to the Assessing Team Manager, the Internal Assessor will support our customers by ensuring the effective and efficient resolution of Home Claims in line with relevant Hollard policy and procedure obligations, and relevant industry and statutory arrangements and requirements:
Receive and undertake assessments allocated by the Assessing Team Manager across a delegated region.
Interstate travel, and travel outside of the delegated region may be required from time-to-time.
Inspect damaged property and complete assessment reports.
Proactively contribute to the management of the customer experience.
Determine policy entitlements and accurately advising the policy holder of entitlements and effects on policy.
Obtain and negotiate repairer quotes as required and authorising repairs based on best quote.
Inform customers about how their loss will be managed, and provide effective claims management and settlement services, through direct and indirect customer contact.
Your knowledge & experience Experience in Home Claims or previous assessing, loss adjusting or building trade related experience is required.
Must have good technical knowledge and understanding of insurance related building repairs.
Good ability to interpret company policies, guidelines and procedures.
Demonstrable experience and confidence in face-to-face customer service.
Australian Drivers Licence is mandatory.
Diploma of Loss Adjusting or working towards is highly desired.
