ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a key role within a development team to design, collaborate, and execute the technical vision of Geoscape's Continuous Data Platform.
The Business Analyst sits within a development team working alongside Product Managers, Software Engineers, Spatial Analysts, and Business Stakeholders to shape how we build and deliver spatial data.
The Business Analyst is responsible for understanding and documenting new and existing end-to-end product development processes, preparing technical specifications, and reporting progress against milestones.
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
A creative problem-solver with a strong ability to understand the needs of our stakeholders and customers and communicate those needs in both technical and non-technical language.
You'll bring:
2+ years of experience in similar roles Experience with developing progress reporting, utilising data from Jira Experience in creating user stories and acceptance criteria Ability to create clear and concise technical specifications An understanding of Agile practices, techniques, and tools Ability to query database tables and analyse data using SQL Exceptional communication skills, including both written and oral communication.
The ability to elicit requirements and understand our business on a fundamental level Importantly, we need you to be a role model of Geoscape's values and enhance our already impressive team culture.
It would be advantageous but not essential if you have experience with:
