Job Description:
Responsible for the service provision and monitoring of the network infrastructure telecommunications environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Understanding the requirements of SOW, prepare Method of Procedures/Implementation Plan Competent and experienced in writing MOPs/SOPs, present in change review panel and get the approval Hands-on experience in executing the MOPs during Change Window Implementing the MOP and ensure network/services stability Commissioning and Integration of new Cisco and Juniper routers/switches, New FW and SecGW Coordinating with planning and design team to understand the required Network changes Network Audit Planning and Design with providing network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks. Installing, configuring, and supporting network equipment including routers, proxy servers, switches with hands-on experience on Cisco ASR9ks, Nexus switches, Juniper MX480, MX960 Configuring security policies/rules in SecGw and Firewall Firewall provisioning (Fortinet/Checkpoint/Palo Alto) and troubleshooting Configuration of Access policies and NAT rules in Firewalls/Proxies/DNS/Load Balancers with relevant parameters for desired packet flow Managing Checkpoint - Smart Dashboard, Smart View Tracker, Smart View Monitor, Multi Domain Manager Implement Changes on several Gateway Devices, including firewall rules/Policies/Proxies/DNS/ Load Balancers, including F5/ Citrix Netscaler. Managing escalations within the team and communications to stakeholders Analysing, identifying, and fixing critical network issues during deployment, testing and integration Monitoring the network and reporting faults/degradation to key stakeholders Active participation in process improvement where required What We're Looking For:
Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Network Engineer or in a similar role Proficient in network design, configuration, and troubleshooting using tools such as Cisco IOS, Juniper Junos, and network monitoring software Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, etc.) Experience with network security solutions, including firewalls, VPNs, and access control lists Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Effective communication and collaboration abilities Mandatory skills: Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet CCNA, CCNP and JNCIA certifications Deep understanding and hands-on experience on L2/L3 routing/Switching protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, UDP, VPN, VLAN, HSRP, VRRP, IPsec, OSPF, BGP, ISIS, RIP, EIGRP, 802.11, QoS, FTP, SFTP, TACACS, CGNAT, NAT) Excellent understanding and experience in IP core network Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools Proven ability to work and conduct a variety of stakeholder engagements independently Should Possess Qualities Below:
