Your role The SEC is delivering a 100% publicly owned renewable energy project in Horsham.
The SEC Renewable Energy Park is an integrated solar and battery project to be built in two stages.
We're seeking a Project Director to oversee the project's delivery - on time, within budget and in line with regulatory requirements, as well as SEC's best practice expectations.
The Project Director will manage the Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management contract, working in close collaboration with the contractor partners and internal SEC functions.
This is a fixed term contract (2 years) with the option to extend.
What you will do: Lead the SEC Renewable Energy Park project delivery team, including project contractors, fostering a high-performance culture.
Project manage from an owner's perspective which includes planning, scheduling, budgeting and allocation of resources.
Oversee the EPCM (Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management) functions, ensuring effective coordination and collaboration among contractors, subcontractors, and consultants.
Monitor contract performance, deliverables, and compliance with contractual obligations.
Manage contract negotiations, variations, and claims to protect project interests and ensure cost-effectiveness.
Manage contracts with contractors, subcontractors and consultants in an EPCM environment.
Manage key stakeholder relationships including contractors, regulatory bodies, councils, First Peoples, community and project sponsors.
Oversee technical aspects of the project in line with technical codes and standards from the design phase, through construction and to commissioning.
Manage all financial aspects of the project including budgets, forecasts and reporting.
Drive a safety-first environment ensuring compliance with all HSE regulations and best practice.
Who you are: A motivated, self-driven leader with at least 10 years of Project Director (EPCM) experience ideally in Victoria.
Able to spend two days per week on site in Horsham (accommodation provided).
Excellent technical understanding of large-scale solar generation and battery storage.
A demonstrated successful history of managing multidisciplinary project teams.
Experience of Traditional Owner / Aboriginal Victorian engagement, conducting social procurement and successful community engagement.
A relevant tertiary qualification (Engineering or Construction Management).
