The Role Located in Cromer, Dee Why Gardens offers a vibrant community comprising both Serviced Apartments and Independent Living Units (no Residential Aged Care). Our residents are independent seniors who enjoy the company and safety of living in a community of like-minded individuals, with the reassurance of services provided should the need arise.
Our lovely team at Dee Why Gardens are currently seeking a Village Engagement Assistant to join them on a permanent part-time basis (approx. 30 hours a week, including a mix of day and afternoon shifts, with 2 overnight sleepover shifts on-site for emergency response).
This role comes with a lot of room for growth, with the opportunity to develop and work on a wide range of projects - so you will never be bored!
Your daily responsibilities will include: Assisting with our colourful village events and resident engagement activities Assisting to serve meals & beverages Responding to resident enquiries Responding to callouts Undertaking first aid and initiating emergency services where required General administrative tasks and improvement projects Conducting welfare checks on residents About You You have a genuine love for community and bringing people together You take initiative and have a proactive attitude You hold a current First Aid & CPR Certificate (or willingness to obtain) You have strong decision-making skills and are calm under pressure You are prompt, diligent, and reliable You have basic computer skills You seek meaningful work that impacts lives and the community You are empathetic, passionate about helping others, and enjoy working with both your team and clients You are proactive, always looking to improve services, client satisfaction, and team efficiency The successful candidate will be providing customer service, comfort, and support to our residents when they need it most.
