About The Opportunity:
The Caterpillar MineStar Implementation team has an exciting opportunity for an energetic and committed person to join the technology group in our Perth or Adelaide office. This is a hybrid opportunity, allowing for both office and work-from-home arrangements.
In this dynamic role, you will be at the core of all autonomous operations, responsible for implementing the MineStar underground product suite (Command for underground and Fleet/Detect for Underground) at new customer sites, including upgrades to existing MineStar customers.
Implementing autonomous system configuration and solutions to meet commercial contracts and mining business needs. In this rewarding role, you will build strong relationships that support the dealer and customer during the installation and configuration of the software, debugging, testing, and integration of other systems to MineStar projects.
Job duties include but are not limited to:
Install and configure the complete underground MineStar system to meet commercial contract and site-specific needs. Support the implementation of system modules to specification and configure modules based on requirements gathered from customer's business analysis. Planning and execution of integrated testing and customer acceptance testing. Ability to problem solve through technical investigation and resolution, including responding to customer questions. Provide implementation technical training to end users and system administrators. Perform implementation and integration tasks for internal and external customers. Assist with documentation, training, and functional specifications. Follow project management processes and implementation assignments. Provide basic training on our standard implementation processes and usage of MineStar systems. Required qualifications and skills:
Technical Bachelor's Degree and/or relevant experience in a related IT/technical/engineering role. Extensive hands-on experience with technical software system implementation, preferably in a mining environment. Extensive hands-on experience with IT system architectures, enterprise computing infrastructure, and cybersecurity. Hands-on experience with (mining) heavy vehicle onboard technology system installation, configuration, and commissioning. Experience in Fleet Management implementations is highly desirable. Experience in Underground mining is highly desirable. The ability to develop relationships through excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work both independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Ability to undertake up to 25% domestic and international travel. What's in it for you?
