Reporting to the Development Manager, your primary role will be producing commercially viable products for the cut & sew categories. Create technical packages, ensuring high standards of both quality and fit for our client's ever evolving customers.
Develop tech packs, including garment construction, spec measurements, grading and embellishment information. Creation of CADS for our tech packs to assist the factory in the sampling and production of our cut & sew garments. Coordinate sampling of garments to ensure quality and design are as per customer expectations. Ensure timely creation and delivery of samples are achieved. Communicate promptly to the Development Manager of any concerns or issues relating to sample delivery, which may impact customer deliveries. Review pre-production and shipment samples for bulk production. Review faulty returns and goods from customers. Maintain the OTS Credits, Returns and Manufacturing Fault Log spreadsheet. Setup of embellishment and digitizing of customer logos for placement for both local and offshore vendors. This will also include color matching of threads and adjustment to plot sheets for embroidery and matching of pantone to Supacolour suite. Ensure consistent sizing and fit across range. Be flexible to execute the above tasks across departments where necessary. Report on works in progress and provide updates to key stakeholders (Maintaining of WIP documents). Minimum requirements include:
A demonstrated background in fashion design with specific in-depth knowledge of garment construction, fabrications, fit, shape, trims, etc. Comprehensive Adobe Suite Knowledge, proficient in Illustrator. Grading knowledge. Intermediate Excel experience. A strong sense of initiative with exceptional time management skills. A thirst for high pressure situations with an ability to prioritise conflicting demands and adapt to meet regularly changing needs. Foster and manage positive working relationships across departments. Minimum three years experience in a related role. Degree in Fashion Design or related field. Accuracy. Excellent Communication skills (verbal and written). Ability to work within a team and autonomously. Solution finding. Patience and determination. A knowledge of garment production methods. A good understanding of manufacturing processes and textile properties. A keen interest in clothing and fashion. A methodical, innovative approach. Good organisational and planning skills. Excellent attention to detail. SALARY $80-90K+SUPER
