Our opportunity As a Trades Assistant you will be responsible for: Site Set Up: Assist with the upkeep of site facilities setup. Manage and maintain site specific EPA checklist, ensuring all environmental controls are in place and maintained. Programme Management: Assist with the management of sub-contractors. Assist with updating programmes and monitoring progress of the works. Quality: Ensure Service Providers comply with site cleanliness rules. Ensure all site fencing is closed and gates are locked by the end of the working day. Obtain material safety data sheets. Participate in review of the Risk and Opportunity Register, identify controls or actions required by others to manage the risks identified. Assist with quality control on site, management of defects, final inspections. Administration: Assist with maintaining files/registers. Assist with compiling handover documentation. HSE: Understand and comply with the company's HSE system. Maintain the site records as outlined in the procedures manual. Facilitate the implementation of the HSE systems. Maintenance of the WRMP by ensuring that Service Providers', hazard analysis, risk assessment has been undertaken prior to subcontract works commencing on site. Your point of difference To be successful you will have:
2-4 years Trades Assistant experience within the general maintenance area Relevant Trade Qualification Solid understanding of basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry with relevant tickets e.g., White Card (Construction) A valid driver's licence Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively with all stakeholders Strong attention to detail A positive attitude and willingness to learn and take on new challenges All of these attributes are preferred; if you think you may be the right fit for the role please still apply.
