The Role You will be responsible for delivering and providing ongoing maintenance and support for the digital products and systems, including underpinning data and information management platforms, that provide contemporary, timely and reliable services for Queensland rural water users and enhance the department's role as a modern, effective regulator of the State's water resources. This role is pivotal in building on the foundations developed through the initial stages of the Rural Water Futures program and fast tracking the expansion and uptake of those capabilities for the benefit of water users, departmental staff and the community. The position will lead a team of specialist staff, contractors and delivery partners in the development, maintenance and support of a suite of products and systems supporting water resource management in Queensland.
Key Accountabilities Provides strong leadership and direction to the development, delivery and ongoing support for digital systems and solutions underpinning rural water resource management in Queensland. Develop and maintain productive and respectful internal and external working relationships, particularly with the water business, Information Technology Partnership and Queensland Government Customer and Digital Group to drive innovation and transformation in the way we deliver our sustainable management of water resources. Lead the delivery of the digital products and systems within the Rural Water Futures Program (RWF), through applying program management methodologies, discipline and expertise to realise program outcomes and benefits. Ensure all functions, products and systems are delivered within DLGWV and Queensland Government corporate and ICT requirements. Ensure a culture of service delivery and high performance amongst the team, incorporating a mixture of public service roles, specialist contractors and delivery partners. Mentor, coach and provide advice and guidance to staff while contributing to their professional development, including monitoring performance and development. About You There are no mandatory requirements for this role. Previous experience in a similar role is desirable.
