The Department of Health is seeking suitably qualified applicants for a Clinical Lead (513422d) vacancy.
Please note this is a dual classified position and is also being advertised as a Clinical Nurse Consultant - Clinical Lead (513422d).

In these roles, you will have the opportunity to develop active partnerships to support sector integration and client outcomes, develop and implement ongoing quality improvement, and develop and implement strategies to meet current and future service priorities.

The Role: As part of a multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality mental health services in accordance with the Mental Health Services Strategic Plan, Mental Health Services Principles, National Mental Health Standards, Agency policy, legal requirements, and relevant professional competencies, the Clinical Nurse Consultant - Clinical Lead will provide high-level support to the Team Leader within the relevant community mental health service, including: Leadership and direction in the strategic development and management of a comprehensive multidisciplinary community mental health team.
Effective management of specified human and physical resources.
Leadership, direction, and change management to facilitate the progression of the current Mental Health Service Strategic Plan through the implementation of the associated model of care and relevant service policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Optimal clinical processes and individual client outcomes.
Enhanced consumer and carer participation at all levels of the service.
You will need: Demonstrated capacity to effectively undertake a coordination/leadership role within a multidisciplinary community setting, including providing supervision and support to other staff as required.
Demonstrated understanding of, and commitment to, the Mental Health Services Strategic Plan, and a capacity to contribute towards the introduction of the model of care within a community setting.
Demonstrated leadership skills and proven ability to manage and coordinate the clinical activities of a multidisciplinary community mental health team, with the ability to assist the Team Leader in relation to the effective management of human and physical resources.
Details of appointment: Permanent full-time day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Salary: $123,717 to $138,296 per annum.
Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Allowances: Please note that access to salaries beyond $130,900 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme.
Benefits available to eligible candidates: Travel and relocation assistance support available up to $15,000 for eligible appointees from overseas, and up to $10,000 for appointees from interstate.

Eligibility: Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria.
Degree in Social Work giving eligibility for membership to the Australian Association for Social Workers, or Registered with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia, or Registered with the Psychology Board of Australia.
