We are excited to announce a newly created opportunity for an Assistant Accountant to join our head office team in Bundaberg. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, this role offers an excellent platform for growth, with diverse responsibilities spanning accounting, compliance, and process improvement.
This is a permanent, full-time position , and a competitive salary package, commensurate with experience, will be offered to the successful candidate.
Responsibilities
Perform daily bank reconciliations and ensure accurate coding of transactions Support month-end processes, including accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations Assist in preparing financial reports, budgets and audits. Maintain the asset register Oversee customer accounts, including the management of overdue accounts Provide support to the AP/AR team as required Drive process improvement, technology adoption and document internal processes About You
A degree in Accounting degree (preferred) and a desire for ongoing professional development. Strong knowledge of accounting principles; manufacturing experience is a plus Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel Exceptional attention to detail and excellent numerical and analytical skills High level of integrity, confidentiality and discretion Organised, efficient and solution focused A hands-on, 'can do' attitude A team player with a collaborative and proactive approach to work APPLICATION PROCESSIf this sounds like you, we would like to hear from you!
