POSITION OVERVIEW: The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) plays a pivotal role in crafting CSM Group's financial management strategy and contributes to shaping the organization's overarching strategic objectives.
This key role oversees the accounting and finance department, ensuring efficient allocation of tasks and the timely, accurate completion of work.
Collaborating closely with operational departments, the CFO evaluates overhead and margin metrics and collaborates with accounting professionals on budgeting, profitability analysis, and forecasting models.
Adept in financial planning and analysis (FP&A) and proficient in managing key performance indicators (KPIs), this leader actively participates in decision-making and provides strategic direction for both the department and the broader company.
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the CFO holds a crucial position in driving financial excellence and organizational success.
RESPONSIBILITIES OVERVIEW: Lead and empower the Accounting Department, playing a pivotal role in defining departmental objectives, securing necessary staffing and resources to align with the company's strategic goals, and fostering the professional development of Accounting employees.
Oversee the organization's general ledger and budgeting operations, ensuring precision and timeliness in historical performance and future forecasts.
Facilitating informed decision-making by the leadership team, based on the most accurate and up-to-date information.
Safeguard the organization's assets through the implementation of robust treasury management techniques and practices, while also developing and supervising effective control procedures.
Develop, evaluate, and present Key Performance Indicator (KPI) management dashboards.
Project Cost Accounting: Responsible for project cost accounting including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, and job cost.
Oversees Accounting Analyst(s) who work closely with project leaders on project forecasting reports, ensuring completion and accuracy.
Financial Analysis: Manages overhead and margin measurement.
Develops and reports on variance analysis to budget.
Oversees and completes corporate forecasting, budgeting, and monthly reporting to all teams and departments.
Department Administration: Works with all outside agencies to complete company financial audits.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar experience.
Five years of experience in construction accounting with management experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
Experience in Timberline Construction Accounting software or the ability to learn to navigate and use the software quickly is required.
Board exposure is highly desired.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: This full-time position provides the opportunity to join an extraordinary work environment characterized by teamwork and mutual respect.
With a competitive salary ranging from $175,000 to $250,000 (DOE) and eligibility for an annual bonus, this role also includes access to a comprehensive benefits package.
