The position leads a team of two and the strategic product portfolio designed to deliver these solutions includes next generation sequencing, microarray, capillary electrophoresis, q PCR, and sample extraction, heavily focused on support for genomics in clinical environments with both oncology, reproductive health being key!Keys to SuccessRepresenting Thermo Fisher in strategic clinical settings with government, industry, strategic working groups and clinical patient advocacy groups to influence and collaborate with industry in the strategic adoption and implementation of new tests across ANZFocus the organisation on delighting customers and delivering on the wider Thermo Fisher value proposition.
Establish relationships with customers across the territory with regular sales calls and a strategic partnership approach.
Understand competitor and industry activity, keep informed of new products/services and other general information of interest to customers incorporating this in business.
Be the voice of the region with global divisions to representing the needs of local clients is pivotal in representing ANZ globally.Organisational design, recruitment, training, coaching, setting of performance objectives that align to the overall strategy.
Mentor the team, build career plans and plans for succession.
Empower and inspire the team to achieve financial goals quarterly and annually.
Reporting regularly on forecast and sales relative to the plan with variance analysis, able to review at a division reporting level to provide division insights into the region.
Developing and completing corrective actions to close any gaps to expectations.
Spending considerable of the time on "the road" balanced with the time in the office.
Expectation of 30% travel.
The successful candidate will have: A Bachelor's Degree in Science and strong life science genomics knowledge is preferred6+ years of relevant, industry-specific Business Development/Sales experience, preferably in a life science areaProven understanding of the local ANZ clinical market and key customers is an advantage, along with technical understanding of NGS, Oncology and Reproductive Health products.Knowledge, Skills, AbilitiesCustomer Relationship Builder, think and implement from a customer-centric perspective.
Can build and develop strong customer relationshipsBusiness Development/Sales, strategically and laterally in order to enhance business opportunities and market potential.
