Our focus is supporting clients who have experienced trauma, whether that presents as anxiety, depression, PTSD, C-PTSD, complex trauma, OCD, or other pathology.We believe in resolving symptoms rather than simply providing skills to manage them.We value members of our team and the benefits that come from individuality and different life experiences.What's in it for you?Up to $3,500 relocation assistance and professional development grants through NT PHNSupportive workplace culture and team.No more than 4-5 client billable hours per day (to help maintain work/life balance), dependent upon clinician experience and capacity.Paid professional development leave + allowanceMonthly group supervision and professional developmentSupport for those completing EMDR training and looking to gain accreditation as a practitioner or consultantAutonomy in creating a system that works for you to thrive as a clinicianWhat's the role?This is an on-site/tele-health role located in Darwin, NT for a Psychotherapist, Psychologist (including provisional), Clinical Counsellor, or Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Practitioner.The clinician will be responsible for providing short-term psychotherapy and counselling services to individuals, couples, families, and groups with diverse needs and backgrounds.The clinician will also develop and implement treatment plans using evidence-based approaches, conduct assessments and evaluations, maintain confidential client records, and collaborate with clinical and administrative staff.The ideal applicant will work from a client-centered framework, have skills or experience in solution-focused interventions such as CBT, DBT, and EFT.Is this the right role for you?Minimum degree Qualified or higher in Psychology, Psychotherapy, Counselling, or a related fieldCurrent AHPRA registration with related fieldMinimum 5 years experienceExperience in providing individual and group psychotherapy and counseling services, and familiarity with evidence-based practicesKnowledge of mental health issues, diagnoses, and treatments, and strong skills in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planningSkills in communication, collaboration, and building therapeutic rapport with clientsAbility to implement and evaluate treatment plans, and adapt intervention strategies to each client's needsKnowledge of professional ethics, privacy, and confidentiality, and ability to maintain accurate and complete client recordsExperience in working with diverse populations, including people with disabilities, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities, and the LGBTIQA+ communityKnowledge of trauma-informed care and experience working with trauma survivors is highly desirableEMDR training is desirable; however, will be provided for the right applicant within the first 6 months
