About the Role Our Inspire at Home Program supports young people aged 12-18 in residential placements.
As the Therapeutic Practice Lead, you will play a critical role in creating trauma-informed, therapeutic environments for these young people.
Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will collaborate with Key Workers, Placement Leads, and Child Safety to conduct assessments, create support plans, and deliver therapeutic interventions that prioritize the voice and wellbeing of each young person.
Key Responsibilities Conduct assessments, develop and review Individual Compatibility Assessments, Crisis Support Plans, Safety Plans, and other therapeutic supports.
Collaborate with young people to ensure their voices are central in all planning processes.
Provide therapeutic input, training, and coaching to foster a trauma-informed approach within the team.
Promote family and community-inclusive practices to enhance placement stability and support transitions.
Engage in continuous improvement by reviewing support plans and participating in incident reviews.
Provide on-call therapeutic support on a rotational roster.
About You Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Allied Health, or equivalent experience.
Experience: Preferably with young people in out-of-home care, with knowledge of Therapeutic Crisis Intervention and trauma-informed practices.
Skills: Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Commitment: Demonstrated alignment with Catholic Care's mission, values, and safeguarding principles.
Requirements: Working with Vulnerable People registration, National Police Check, First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain within 3 months), and a valid Tasmanian driver's license.
