Are you energetic, compassionate, and resilient, looking for a rewarding opportunity in South Hedland, WA? We're on the hunt for a dedicated Therapeutic Live-in Carer to join our service and make a genuine difference in the lives of Children and Young People.

Make a Difference Every Day Children and Young People in Out-of-Home Care can present with complex trauma and need a safe nurturing environment with Therapeutic Live-in Carers that are able to provide Therapeutic Interventions and Supports. This will help the young person build secure attachments and experience a positive care environment, working towards life goals and making their own choices.

As a Therapeutic Live-in Carer, you'll play a pivotal role in creating a positive impact on the lives of those you support. This role requires someone who is a natural people-person, empathetic, and committed to ensuring the best outcomes for our Children and Young People. If you thrive on responsibility, are calm under pressure, and have a knack for clear communication, you'll fit right in with our team!

What You'll Do Every day is a new adventure! You'll be involved in a variety of tasks, including:

Manage household duties such as cleaning, washing, and meal preparation Provide a safe and nurturing Therapeutic Environment for the young person to develop to their full potential and learn new, positive and healthy emotional responses Support the goals established in the child or young person's Individual Care Plan which contains the 9 dimensions of well-being (Health, Education, Social and Family Relationships, Recreation and Leisure, Emotional and behavioural Development, Identity and Culture) Monitor and report health issues for each Child or Young Person and respond to their individual health needs Provide age-appropriate care to a child or young person Assist a young person to connect to their culture or religion, this may include going out bush or supporting a young person on return to country trips Work collaboratively with the child or young person's school to identify barriers to positive engagement in education, as well as facilitate learning from home activities Participate/encourage social and recreational activities with the Children and Young People such as playing games, going fishing, and crafts What We're Looking For To succeed in this role, you'll need:

Experience working with young people, particularly in therapeutic environments Located within the Pilbara region A positive, resilient attitude and a commitment to making a difference A relevant diploma qualification or equivalent experience A valid driver's license and willingness to work a week-on, week-off roster, including sleepover shifts (swings can be either 1 week-on, 1 week-off or 2 week-on, 2 week-off) Experience working with children and young people with complex trauma or in Out-of-Home Care Why Join Lifestyle Solutions?
