As a member of our team, you will play an important role in providing high quality service to theatres and other clinical areas.
About Us:
Knox Private Hospital is one of the largest private hospitals in Victoria, caring for over 1.2 million people across Melbourne's east and outer east.
We have a 24/7 Emergency Department, covering a full range of medical and surgical specialty areas, including highly complex surgeries. Backed by the latest technology and expertise, we offer 15 theatres, including a hybrid theatre, diagnostic cardiology, two cardiac cath labs and capabilities for cardiothoracic surgery, orthopaedics, neurosurgery, urology and more. All supported by a recently expanded coronary care unit and intensive care unit.
Exciting new expansion for Knox Private Hospital Work is almost completed on a major expansion of Knox Private Hospital that will help us continue to meet the growing demand for quality health care across Melbourne's east.
The new multi-million-dollar expansion will help Knox Private deliver an expanded and enhanced service offering for our patients, and will further cement our reputation as a world-class healthcare facility.
As Theatre Technician, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to): Delivering excellent service and care to patientsAssisting with Team time out, correct site surgery and patient positioningSetting up and preparation of the operating theatre prior to surgeryTransporting patient to and from the operating theatre, and assisting with safe patient transfer on and off the operating tableEnsure all equipment is functioning properly, correctly positioned in theatre and maintainedUndertake designated cleaning tasks certifying a high standard of cleanliness is maintained utilising standard precautions, between casesCertificate III/IV in Health Services Assistant (Operating Theatre Technician) or enrolled and have completed a student placementSound knowledge of theatre equipment and safe practicesPrevious experience in providing safe and appropriate patient care in clinical environmentWorking in a team environment – including taking accountability, working to national standards, guidelines and hospital policies & taking directions from senior staff when neededPossess organisational skills and completes documentation to a high standardAbility to troubleshoot problems when they ariseSound and effective communication skillsAbility to work in a physically demanding roleAvailable for flexible work hours (Monday – Saturday and On call)Why Healthscope?
