What you'll do
As a Theatre Orderly, your key responsibilities will include:
Assisting medical and nursing staff with patient positioning, transport, and the preparation and maintenance of theatre equipmentSupporting the setup and operation of essential theatre equipment such as diathermy, lights, and microscopesContributing to cleaning, safety checks, and ensuring theatre areas remain sterileParticipating in patient care and assisting with emergency situations as part of the teamSupporting and guiding other staff members, with potential leadership responsibilities as you grow in the roleWhat we're looking for Completion of an AQF Certificate III relevant to the position, or equivalent experience in a health-related fieldProven ability to work effectively in a team and communicate with people from diverse backgroundsStrong attention to detail, with the ability to follow instructions and maintain confidentialityPrevious experience in a care setting, particularly with aged, frail, or disabled personsKnowledge of safe working practices and a commitment to customer service principlesFor more detailed information about the role please refer to the Role Description provided below.
