What you'll be doing To provide high quality administrative support to the Clinical School. This includes
Preparation of non-routine correspondence and reports, agenda and minutes for one or more senior staff members of the Clinical School liaising as appropriate with university, hospital and external stakeholders Assisting the team in their clinical roles e.g. scheduling appointments, transcription typing of clinical letters, answering and responding to telephone enquiries, managing referrals, processing invoices, bulk billing, updating and maintaining patient information via databases, coordinating clinics through the patient scheduling system, as well as organising patients files that are required for the Medical teams for Patients Clinics Coordinate all Telehealth Outpatient clinics bookings for Consultants, contacting patient's families and ensuring all clinic patients have current/valid referral letter and updated on the system (scheduler/Powerchart), chasing up all expired referral letters by following up either with patients family or GP practice. Uploading referral letters and any other correspondence in Powerchart Healthroster data entry and roster creation through roster demand template/s for department staff members. Minimum Requirements Excellent written and verbal communication, with a high level of attention to detail Excellent customer service skills, ideally in a high volume environment Familiarity with health information systems (e.g. Patient Management Powerchart systems, Oracle) Health Roster and Microsoft Office programs Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise multiple demands Recent experience as an administrative officer in a medical environment Minimum typing speed of 60 wpm SCHN is an Equal Opportunity Employer that values diversity - we acknowledge the vibrancy that a diverse workforce brings to enhance both our workplace culture and our service delivery to children, young people and their families and carers.
