MSH Forensic Nursing Service is looking for an Assistant Director of Nursing to join their team. This specialist forensic service delivers diverse, contemporary nursing care, providing a trauma-informed response to individuals reporting sexual assault, and working closely with the inter-professional and interagency teams established to support victim-survivors of sexual violence.

About the Role The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) provides operational and professional nursing leadership for the MSH Forensic Nursing Service. The role includes leadership and oversight across all MSH campuses for both in and out of hours sexual assault services and the management of the 7-day nursing service provided in QPS Watchhouses in the MSH region. The ADON shapes interagency and multidisciplinary clinical and corporate governance; coordinates service delivery, human and material management, and provides expertise in healthcare team communication and data analysis to deliver safe, quality, effective, and efficient healthcare provision. This position also collaborates with the Metro Health Nursing and Midwifery executive team and the Qld Police Service, supporting the Health Service priorities and the strategic direction for the Nursing profession.
