About the Role
As a Level 1 Allied Health Assistant, you will work closely with your senior clinician to support the delivery of therapy services. You'll help create a positive and engaging experience for children while assisting in implementing therapy plans under the direct supervision of your senior clinician.
We have part-time roles available for AHA Speech Pathology on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays 9:00-5:00. We have a full-time role available for an AHA who would like experience across Speech Pathology and Occupational Therapy disciplines (Monday-Friday).
Key Responsibilities
Support the senior clinician in delivering therapy sessions and activities under supervision. Prepare therapy materials, resources, and equipment for sessions. Assist with the setup and cleanup of therapy spaces. Greet clients at the time of their session. Engage with children during therapy to encourage participation and progress. Document session notes and observations accurately and promptly. Provide feedback to therapists regarding the child's engagement and outcomes. Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming therapy environment. Provide admin assistance to clinicians. Attend supervision sessions, team meetings, and case conferences. When appropriate, you may perform level 2 duties from time-to-time (e.g., when the clinician is on leave and the client is determined to be suitable to Level 2 AHA). About You

Skills & Qualifications
Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance (or working towards) and/or studying Speech Pathology / an allied health profession. Previous experience working with children is desirable. An understanding of Autism, Intellectual Disability, and other developmental disabilities. NDIS Worker Screener. Working with Children Check. Membership with Allied Health Assistants' National Association (or be willing to apply if you do not have current membership).
