Industrial Technology/Design and Technology Teacher We are seeking to employ a suitably qualified and experienced secondary teacher to deliver subjects within our Industrial Technology/Design and Technology area. This is a full-time role.
Selection criteria Teaching Expertise and Curriculum Knowledge: Demonstrated ability to deliver engaging, innovative, and differentiated Industrial Technology lessons in alignment with the Australian Curriculum. Experience teaching a variety of industrial technology subjects. The ability to integrate contemporary practices and techniques such as CNC plasma cutting and 3D printing into projects is essential. Commitment to Student Engagement and Wellbeing: Proven ability to establish positive relationships with students, fostering an inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation, creativity, and achievement. Technical Skills and Workshop Management: Demonstrated practical skills and knowledge of equipment, tools, and safety protocols associated with industrial technology workshops. Ability to maintain and manage resources, ensuring a safe and compliant learning environment for students and staff. Professional Qualifications and Ongoing Learning: Relevant tertiary qualifications in Industrial Technology or a related field, coupled with a recognised teaching qualification. A current Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) registration and a commitment to ongoing professional learning and development. Contribution to the Wider School Community: A willingness to actively participate in the life of the College, including co-curricular activities, events, and pastoral care programs, aligning with the College's values and ethos. Technology Integration in Teaching: Demonstrated ability to effectively integrate digital technologies into teaching and learning to enhance student engagement and outcomes in Industrial Technology.
