About The Role We are seeking a values-driven and proactive MoneyCare Team Leader, at our Alice Springs location. Reporting to the MoneyCare SA/NT Manager, this is a fixed-term, full-time position until January, 2026.
Salary and conditions are in accordance with the SCHADS Award, level 6. You will successfully: Work collaboratively with regional, state and national management, finance, HR and other TSA services to ensure that Moneycare services operate efficiently and effectively, according to budget and with a focus on continual improvement to the quality of service to the community. Assist in preparing funding submissions and funding body reports. Work to establish new services once funding is obtained in a timely manner. Ensure the provision of professional/casework supervision of team members, to ensure the smooth operation, welfare of team members and effective performance of Moneycare. Ensure systems are in place to ensure the service meets all Moneycare, professional body, funding body and regulatory requirements and standards. Provide a holistic financial counselling service to people in financial difficulty or crisis, which recognises the ways in which other life issues may interact with financial issues and consider the clients' unique circumstances. Develop options with clients enabling them to best deal with their situations. Maintain a caseload in line with professional body requirements to retain accreditation. You Will Have (Requisite Skills & Qualifications) Accreditation as a Financial Counsellor would be highly regarded. Diploma of Financial Counselling or equivalent (or working towards). Demonstrated ability to work within a counselling framework (or working towards). Be willing to commence training as a Financial Counsellor and complete the Diploma of Financial Counselling as expediently as possible. Experience in the field of welfare, community services, counselling or business/finance is preferable. Commitment to high professional standards of practice. Demonstrated success in leading a team of people within a community service environment. Demonstrated high level communication skills. Ability to summon confidence and faith of clients and staff.
