We are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced Lifestyle Coordinator to join our team to lead the lifestyle program at Royal Freemasons Coppin Centre.
As a Lifestyle Coordinator you will develop and manage a variety of programs and events that cater to the diverse interests and needs of our residents. This is essential in promoting social engagement, mental stimulation, and physical activity for the residents. You will foster a warm, welcoming environment where residents feel valued, respected, and cared for.
Under the supervision of the Facility Manager, the Lifestyle Coordinator is also responsible for the coordination of lifestyle volunteers and resident wellbeing assistants and provides supervision, direction, and delivery for all day-to-day programs.
Benefits More take-home pay with competitive salary packaging options up to $15,990, Novated leasing, plus an optional Meals and Entertainment card up to $2,650 per annumBetter work-life balance with consistent fortnightly rosters patterns for permanent positions - no rotating rosters!Confidential access to our Employee Assistance ProgramEmployee Referral Program - refer a friend and be rewarded.Free onsite parkingQualifications, knowledge and requirements required for the role Relevant qualifications, including a Certificate IV in Leisure and Lifestyle or a related discipline.At least 2 years of experience in a similar position, ideally with team leadership experience.Proven experience in developing and managing lifestyle programs in the aged care or community sectors.Experience with dementia care, with knowledge of memory support programs.Strong communication and interpersonal skills to connect with residents and families.A compassionate approach to managing and supporting elderly residents and individuals with disabilities.Effective interpersonal and written communication skills, including intermediate computer skills.Other requirements A current, full driver's licence for the State of Victoria which is appropriate for the type of vehicle being driven, and comply with any restrictions on their licence (e.g. wearing glasses).
It is a mandatory requirement when working in the Aged Care sector to have a valid Police Clearance or National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Worker Screening Clearance, or potentially both, to undertake the inherent requirements of this role.
All aged care workers must be vaccinated against Covid-19 (3 vaccines) and are encouraged to receive the Flu-Vaccine. All successful applicants will be required to provide proof of Covid-19 vaccination prior to commencement.
