The opportunity The Cafe Attendant creates a warm and inviting cafe atmosphere where residents and visitors can socialise, relax, and enjoy refreshments.
As the Café Attendant, you will play a pivotal role in managing the operations of the central cafe. The central café is a popular and vibrant meeting spot where you and visiting family or friends can enjoy coffee and catchups.
Reporting directly to the Chef Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the café runs smoothly and efficiently. Your expertise in food safety and handling will be crucial in maintaining our high standards, ensuring that every meal prepared meets the strictest health regulations.
Your key responsibilities include: Delivering excellent customer service with warmth and a smilePreparing food and beverages with care, including crafting delicious coffeeOperating our POS system and managing payments effortlesslyEnsuring the café is always tidy, welcoming, and ready for actionSupporting events and functions that occur onsiteQualifications, knowledge and requirements required for the role: Relevant Industry Training – Food Handling and Hygiene CertificateCertificate II or higher in Hospitality/Food & Beverage (Desirable)Sound understanding of Health & Food Safety requirements and food preparationDemonstrated Barista and hospitality experience.Excellent customer service, time management and organisational skills.Other requirements: It is a mandatory requirement when working in the Aged Care sector to have a valid Police Clearance or National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Worker Screening Clearance, or potentially both, to undertake the inherent requirements of this role.
All aged care workers must be vaccinated against Covid-19 (3 vaccines) and are encouraged to receive the Flu-Vaccine. All successful applicants will be required to provide proof of Covid-19 vaccination prior to commencement.
