Roles & Responsibilities:
Participating in teams that are assisting government leaders in implementing and adopting Digital Engineering (DE) and Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) practices and tools.
Developing systems models that enable government customers to make informed decisions about acquisitions, requirements, design, and execution of a program and/or systems.
Applying systems engineering, model-based engineering, and digital engineering methods to solve current and emerging digital engineering challenges.
Challenges include how to analyze stakeholder requirements, how to integrate new technology into an existing system of systems, and how to increase confidence in system performance via experiments and testing.
Providing thought leadership to further mature and develop revolutionary digital engineering solutions consisting of people, process, and tools to advance the state-of-the-art digital and mission engineering solutions to complex programs for Australia.
Basic Qualifications:
Australian citizen.
Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, mathematics, or relevant technical discipline.
Ability to exercise systems thinking.
Ability to execute technical work in complex, multi-disciplinary and ambiguous situations.
Proficiency in one or more programming languages that support quantitative analyses (e.g., MATLAB, Mathematica, Python, R).
Eligible for Australian Negative Vetting Level 1 clearance.
Good written, communication, and presentation skills.
This position requires a minimum of 4 days a week on-site.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's or Doctoral degree in engineering, physics, mathematics or relevant technical discipline.
Training in artificial intelligence.
Ability to perform modeling and simulation.
Object-oriented programming skills.
Hands-on experience with one or more of the following: Java, C++, JavaScript, Ruby, HTML, SQL.
Eligible for Australian Positive Vetting (PV) clearance.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally, as required.
