Job Title: Chef De PartieMadison Tower Mill Hotel Brisbane is seeking an experienced and skilled individual to join their kitchen team in the role of Chef De Partie.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong focus on food preparation, presentation, and service. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, maintaining high standards of quality and cleanliness throughout the kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:Cleans food preparation areas as determined by law and company policyPrepares food before the arrival of guestsAdjusts food items to accommodate guests/customers with allergies or specific diet concernsOversees other employees in the kitchenActs as liaison to front-of-house employees to ensure proper food serviceSeasons food according to recipes or company needsOperates various kitchen appliances such as a blender, oven or grillPortions, arranges, and garnishes food based on guest/customer preferenceAssists other cooks during the food assembly processEstimates expected food consumption and organised preparationCleans up after business hoursCommunicates with manager about how to improve meal serviceAlters dishes based on consumer suggestions or requirementsComplete required checklists for cleaning, hygiene, temperature control, transportation of food etc.Orders and manages stock levelsMaintains equipment by conducting regular organisation checks, and defrost cycles of cool room and freezersAssists with menu curation for both day-to-day of restaurant and specialty menus for functions/eventsSuggests specials based on stock levels and curates recipe cards to provide to management for approvalReport directly to management about staff progress/issues, advise on equipment required or services to be renderedRequirements:Previous experience required (minimum 3 years in a similar role)Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environmentStrong focus on food preparation, presentation, and serviceExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to maintain high standards of quality and cleanliness throughout the kitchenBenefits:Industry award rates (Hospitality Industry General Award)Fun, safe, and supportive work environmentEmployee discountWork Arrangements:Part-time and permanent positions available20-35 hours per weekA combination of afternoon, day, evening, Monday to Friday, morning, rotating roster, and weekend shiftsLocation:In person at Madison Tower Mill Hotel Brisbane
