Our Australian operations, under which 7 brands currently operate, are rapidly expanding and WHSmith is expected to continue this growth.
WHSmith Food currently operate a large number of hospital cafés across NSW, QLD, and SA, providing food, beverages, and convenience retail to hospital staff and the general public.
We are now looking for a talented hospitality professional to manage our The Food Depot café in Wagga Wagga.
Scope: As the Store Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining the success of your business through the training and development of your team of hospitality professionals, maximising sales, effective rostering, stock management and a strong focus on gross margin.
Role and Responsibilities: Responsible for recruitment, training and development of the team Effective labour management through effective rostering Leading the team to deliver exceptional customer service Driving sales strategies Managing store key performance indicators Building relationships with key stakeholders including hospital management as well as suppliers Execution of marketing initiatives to drive spend per head.
Analysing and reporting on weekly sales   Ownership of stock ordering, stocktaking and delivering gross margin  Skills & Experience: At least 5 year's management experience in the food/hospitality industry 3 years of barista experience Must be the holder of a current food safety supervisor certificate.
Leadership and mentoring abilities Knowledge of a busy food operation with a focus on sales and service Experience in costing food and managing cost of goods Experience in labour management Effective staff management and training skills The ability to achieve targets and KPIs Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Experience in building relationships with external stakeholders Flexibility with work hours Why you should join our Food by WHSmith team: Exciting staff discounts!
