About the role
ALPA is looking for an experienced payroll professional who is well-organised with keen attention to detail and strong analytical abilities to join our Darwin based Payroll Team.
Coach and lead direct reports and all team members to deliver best practice payroll; and to ensure they are engaged and delivering on team and individual results Oversee the processing of admin pays on a fortnightly basis, delivering a high level of accuracy, attention to detail and ensuring all deadlines are met Support the Payroll Manager and the HRIS Implementation Team to successfully launch our new HRIS pay module and ensure a smooth transition for all stakeholders Allocate relevant expenses to the appropriate cost centres with precision Manage and communicate all related tasks connected with CBB (our salary packaging provider) Carry out End of Month procedure for nominated payrolls by the due date Process accurate and timely lodgement/payment of payroll tax and PAYG Skills and experience A minimum of three years' experience in payroll services (workforce of 300+) Proven experience with multiple industrial awards and time keeping systems Ability to coach and lead payroll officers Intermediate skills of Microsoft Excel Experience using Navision, D365, Jet Reporting is desirable as is exposure to HRIS implementation Highly effective interpersonal skills and excellent written and oral communication skills that can be adapted to meet the needs of people from all education levels, language abilities, and ethnic origins Benefits Competitive salary with ability to salary package up to $15,900 p.a. with additional benefits and money saving rewards 5 weeks annual leave + 17.5% leave loading Opportunity to make a positive impact through your work on First Nations people in some of the most remote parts of Australia Free and Confidential access to Employee Assistance Programs Free Travel Insurance Career development opportunities Opportunity to make a positive impact on our remote Aboriginal communities Free onsite parking and more How to apply
